Adventure with Confidence
Safety is a shared responsibility that empowers great adventures. Here's our commitment and the tools we provide to help you explore responsibly.
Our Commitment to Safety
At CampCrafter, we believe that the most memorable adventures are built on a foundation of trust and preparedness. While we are a platform that connects people, not a guide service, we are deeply committed to fostering a culture of safety. We build tools that encourage clear communication, thorough planning, and responsible recreation. Your safety is a partnership between you, your tribe, and the tools we provide.
Community Guidelines
Communicate Clearly and Honestly
Be transparent about your experience level, expectations, and any personal limits (e.g., allergies, fitness). This helps the group plan an activity that's safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Respect Each Other
Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment. Harassment, discrimination, or any form of disrespectful behavior is not tolerated. Treat others as you would want to be treated.
Your Responsibility
The outdoors carries inherent risks. CampCrafter is a tool to help you plan, but it is not a substitute for good judgment, proper training, and personal responsibility. We ask that you always:
- Do Your Own Research. Always check official sources for current weather, trail conditions, and local regulations before you go.
- Know Your Limits. Choose adventures that are appropriate for your and your group's skill and fitness levels. Don't be afraid to speak up if you feel uncomfortable.
- Be Prepared. Carry the ten essentials, have a personal first-aid kit, and leave your trip plan with someone back home.
- Communicate Clearly. Be honest with your tribe about your experience, your gear, and any concerns you may have. Clear communication is the best safety tool.
